To promote the integration of Hsinchu Science Park’s innovation energy with the international market, the Hsinchu Science Park Bureau of the National Science and Technology Council led eight promising startup teams from the park to Singapore from October 27 to October 31 to participate in Asia’s leading innovation event, “SWITCH 2025.” A series of in-depth business networking and startup ecosystem engagement activities were also conducted to expand market opportunities for Hsinchu startups in Southeast Asia.
The Hsinchu Science Park Administration led eight promising startup teams to Singapore, including JiuLang Intelligent Medical, Anders Medical, Talent Artificial Intelligence, ShengDe Medical, Guangji Technology, MetaRosetta, Moluo Artificial Intelligence, and Phasetrum, focusing on advanced product technologies and applications such as AI, biomedicine, metalens, and next-generation communications.
The first stop on October 27 took place at the National Library of Singapore, where the Hsinchu Science Park Administration collaborated with local partner Blackstorm Consulting Group to organize the “Taiwan-Singapore Innovation Connect: The Singapore Launchpad” event. During the event, local venture capital institutions shared in-depth insights into market entry strategies for Singapore, while startup teams presented their technologies, successfully connecting with local VCs, accelerators, and corporate representatives, securing first-hand market feedback and potential collaboration opportunities for entering the Southeast Asian market.
The delegation also visited NTUitive, the innovation center of Nanyang Technological University, to gain deeper insights into Singapore’s successful mechanisms and strategies in intellectual property management, technology transfer, innovation incubation, and commercialization of academic research outcomes, laying a solid foundation for future Taiwan-Singapore industry-academia collaboration.
On October 28, the Hsinchu Science Park Administration led the teams to participate in the “Plug and Play APAC Summit,” one of the most influential innovation events in the Asia-Pacific region. The summit brought together 60 top startups, corporations, and investors from more than 10 countries worldwide to explore forward-looking opportunities in AI, deep tech, and sustainability technologies. The eight Hsinchu startups showcased their booths and participated in pitch sessions, directly presenting their technological strengths and market potential to international investors and corporate venture capital (CVC). Additionally, the teams actively engaged in investor matchmaking (speed dating), exchanging insights with global industry experts and successfully establishing international partnerships.
Today (10/29) marks the opening day of SWITCH 2025. The Singapore SWITCH exhibition (Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology) is one of Asia’s premier startup exhibitions, bringing together international venture capital, enterprises, and innovation communities from over 100 countries. It serves as a key gateway and excellent exposure opportunity for global innovation entering international markets. The Hsinchu Science Park Administration, together with Startup Island Taiwan, established the Taiwan Pavilion to showcase innovation achievements to global partners. Deputy Representative Wu Wenling of the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore visited the Hsinchu startup exhibition area, personally interacting with representatives of the eight teams, gaining a deep understanding of their innovative solutions, and offering strong recognition and encouragement.
Among them, Phasetrum from Hsinchu Science Park stood out in the benchmark competition Slingshot, which attracted over 6,000 startup applications worldwide. With its leading phased-array IC technology, it was selected among the global Top 60 and will compete on the SWITCH main stage tomorrow (October 30) for a place in the Top 12 finals, demonstrating the deep tech capabilities cultivated by Hsinchu Science Park.
The Hsinchu Science Park Administration stated that Hsinchu Science Park is not only a global semiconductor manufacturing hub but also a cradle for disruptive innovation. Its mission is to build international bridges and lead outstanding startup teams onto the global stage. The administration will continue to work closely with international partners, serving as a strong backbone for startups and promoting the “Hsinchu Science Park Startup” brand to shine globally.
