AI-driven metalens design platform

MetaRosetta’s core advantage lies in its self-developed AI optical design software tools. This AI-based metalens design platform integrates geometric optics and wave optics calculations, and supports process tolerance simulation and yield prediction, enabling the design process to go beyond theoretical simulation and directly align with subsequent mass production conditions.

Significantly reduced design time with improved efficiency

Through the combined computation of geometric and wave optics, the team stated that design processes that previously required months can now be completed within minutes, while improving design focus efficiency by more than 30%. This also enables MetaRosetta to support optimization of more complex asymmetric structures, attracting collaboration inquiries from multiple metalens R&D organizations and major system manufacturers.

From component design to module integration and mass production validation

Compared to teams focusing solely on individual component development, MetaRosetta emphasizes system integration and real-world implementation. The company has completed integration and mass production validation of multiple physical modules, including high-performance thermal imaging metalens modules and NIR-band Face ID lens design projects, with the capability to conduct yield prediction and automated optical verification during the design process.

Expanding presence in Japan and North America

MetaRosetta has established technical collaborations with Japanese material suppliers to jointly develop germanium- and silicon-based materials for metalens, along with backend optical packaging technologies, further expanding into Japan’s near-infrared and long-wave infrared application markets. Additionally, its technical capabilities have gained recognition from potential U.S. clients, leading to participation in a Taiwan semiconductor supply chain collaborative roadmap targeting next-generation consumer and defense optical system applications.

From a Taiwan startup to the global high-end optics market

In just over a year since its establishment, MetaRosetta has built a metalens design platform spanning visible light, near-infrared, and long-wave infrared. Its applications cover consumer electronics, medical imaging, smart vehicles, and defense technology. The company stated that it will continue expanding into core markets such as the United States and Japan, aiming to become a global high-end optical technology platform.
